Students are encouraged to bring their own laptop computers to the class. You will be provided with a selection of test images to import, manage and process. If you would like to install a trial version of Adobe Lightroom 3 prior to the class, you can download it for free from the Adobe web site.

During the class, our aim is to provide you with a practical, step-by-step workflow process that you can take home with you and immediately begin to use to manage your digital image files.

We will look at the importance of having a robust back-up strategy, explore the Lightroom "Import" procedure and then begin to process our test images, bringing out the very best of the digital files.

By the end of the class, you will have gained a comprehensive introduction to Adobe's powerful Lightroom software and be ready to explore the application further. You will be in a position to be able to manage your image library consistently and effectively and will be equipped with some of the skills and techniques to control how your final image appears.

Learning post-production is a crucial step in digital photography and if you are creating digital pictures, this introductory course will make a huge difference to the way you manage and process your photographs.
